Bourn Identity Inc., headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, a trade and security management consulting company which provides export licensing support, and trade and security management services including audits and assessments, trade and security program development and implementation for both defense and commercial businesses.
Biography for Gregory L. Bourn
Greg has extensive work experience comprised of trade management, industrial security, nuclear weapons security, law enforcement and information technology (IT) security. His responsibilities spanned world-wide corporate operations, including oversight of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled material in the possession of companies in 32 countries.
His experience includes licensing and exporting electronics and computers manufactured for submarines, ships, aircraft, various civil and defense radars, C4I systems, air traffic control systems, postal equipment, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
He has managed trade, ethics and security compliance programs in several large corporations including Finmeccanica North America, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell where he was responsible for managing policy, training, auditing and licensing activities. He also held positions with the U.S. Government as an IT and Industrial Security Representative with the Defense Security Service and served in the United States Air Force as a Nuclear Weapons Security Officer.

Mr. Bourn is currently serving his third term as a member of the Department of State Defense Trade Advisory Group (DTAG). He is also serving a second term on the Department of Commerce President’s Export Council Subcommittee for Export Administration (PECSEA).
Mr. Bourn is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Contract Management. He also received a Master Diploma in National Security Management from the National Defense University in Washington, DC. He has held Government security clearances most of his career.
